The braze welded plate heat exchanger is constructed out of stainless steel AISI316L. The heat exchange surface is comprised of thin corrugated metal plates, overlapped, forming a pile. Between those plates channels are formed and the corner openings are arranged in such a way that allow the two fluids to circulate through alternating channels, always in counter-flow. The fluids are maintained in the unit with a braze welded seam along the entire perimeter of the plates. The contact points of the plates are also braze welded to withstand the pressure of the fluids involved. The set of plates is protected by cover plates where the hydraulic connections are installed.
